Phi Kappa Phi Chapter 100

We don't separate life and education. At UNLV living is learning.

About Phi Kappa Phi

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi's Chapter 100 has been chartered at UNLV since 1967. What started out a group of 20 faculty members and five students has grown into a chapter that initiates approximately 150 new members each year. This national honor society is the only one that recognizes superior scholarship in all fields of study. Because Phi Kappa Phi is so highly selective, membership is recognized as a true mark of academic distinction by graduate and professional schools as well as employers. Additional benefits of membership include vying for local and national awards and fellowships, finding mentors and networking opportunities within the society, and receiving valuable services and discounts from corporate partners on items like cell phones, computers, and test preparation classes. It's important to note that at UNLV, Phi Kappa Phi is the only honor society noted on the university's official transcripts.

President's Welcome

Welcome to the Web site of Phi Kappa Phi, Chapter 100, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, located in one of the most exciting cities in the world. Our university's motto, "Different. Daring. Diverse." is reflected in the membership of our Phi Kappa Phi chapter, which has been on campus since 1967. It is the only university-wide honor society at UNLV that promotes and recognizes academic excellence in all academic disciplines. Our chapter, Chapter 100, awards scholarships, every year, to the top Junior and Senior initiates and nominates one graduating senior for the national Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship competition.

Goodie Two Shoes Foundation

UNLV’s Chapter 100 of Phi Kappa Phi volunteered with Goodie Two Shoes on Friday, November 9th. Our wonderful members helped give 450 students brand new shoes and an amazing shopping experience with each student getting one volunteer each to help them look for the perfect shoe to match their energy and interests. This was the second year we volunteered with Goodie Two Shoes and we would love to make this an annual philanthropic event for our chapter. About Goodie Two Shoes: The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation provides disadvantaged children and children in crisis with new shoes and socks, as well as other items deemed essential for good health and positive development.
