Spring Member Showcase Lecture and Mixer
Phi Kappa Phi’s Spring Member Showcase Lecture and Mixer will be held on Thursday, March 7 in the Barrick Museum Auditorium. Vice Provost Gregory Brown’s lecture, “Inside Looking Outside in Revolutionary Paris” examines genteel housing, landscape gardens, and the imagining of urban exterior space. Brown received his Ph.D. in European history from Columbia University, with a specialization in French cultural and intellectual history. He has taught at Columbia, Hunter College, and George Mason University, as well as at UNLV. Prior to the lecture, Phi Kappa Phi is hosting a “Mix and Mingle” session, which includes light refreshments, prize drawings, and a book drive for Better World Books. All types of books are accepted including: biographies and autobiographies, education, fiction and classic literature, self-help, romance, religion, politics and current events, and more.
The mixer starts at 2:30 p.m., the lecture at 3:30 p.m.
